You need to download and install the ssl dev rpm. You also should
upgrade everything to the bleeding edge, particularly the kernel and
the glibc.
RH in their wisdom reorganized the ssl stuff and so you'll have to change
a bunch of paths to get things to compile. Be careful not to mix the
Openssl release with the RH one as there are differences...
And, when you get it all together, I suspect it won't work. At least that
was my experience. (Anyone out there running pound successfully on RH9?)
I suspect the threading, but even with it forced behave like the earlier
mechanism, pound seesm to fail. My machine is dual Athlon running RH9.
BTW, everything works fine a very similar machine running RH7.3. RH8 and
RH9 have been nothing but trouble.
