I have started testing Pound on Windows 2003 server. Everything is
working great (so far) in CMD window. I now wanting to configure Pound
as a Windows service. I was wanting to know if anyone has any
suggestions/pitfalls on doing this? Here is what I was thinking.
1. Need to direct all output to a log file? Currently in CMD window,
everything shows up in the window. Need to know config file parameter to
direct all output to a file.
2. Use the Pound directly, ZopeNTService, or CMD when building the
Windows Service startup command to Pound. Not sure what is best way to
install/setup Pound as Windows Service.
3. Does Pound support log rotation? If not supported in Pound will build
log rotation scripts outside Pound. Figure this is minor deal to do
outside pound, but necessary if running as Windows service.
Any thoughts or ideas people have (since I sure someone has done this
before) are most welcome.
Thanks,
Steven Smith
