From time to time, I want to reconfigure pound on a live, running system.
I currently do it by killing pound and restarting with the new, revised 
configuration file.  Is there a better way to do it?  One which does not 
interfere with the existing running system?

No. Unfortunately I don't really know how to deal with existing sessions once 
the configuration is changed, so (in the spirit of DHCP) we just restart it.
