Hi
I saw in the archive that there is a solution for apache to restrict
access by client IP. I have an IIS 5 backend and I was wondering
if someone knows of a solution for that.

Right click on the site -> properties -> directory security -> IP
address
and domain name restrictions

The problem is that the IIS sees all requests as coming from the proxy
server, not from the client. (I'm forwarding https requests to http).
