Is anyone successfully using Pound on a dual processor RH9 machine? I
tried a while back and could never make it work although folks with single
processor machines seem to have no problems beyond the usual threading
library problems. We're now several releases and many bug fixes beyond the
version I was trying to use (1.4, I believe) so I am hopeful that whatever
problem there was has been resolved.
Any information greatly appreciated.

We also had some trouble with Pound on RH9. I don't recall if it was SMP
specific, but the solution was to upgrade to the latest available version
of glibc from RedHat. FWIW, we've been running Pound without trouble on
dual-processor Debian systems.
Hope that helps.

Thanks. I have been running Pound without problems on RH7.3 but
crashed and burned with RH9. I was running the latest and greatest
glibc, but it's probably a bit out of date now. I'll upgrade across
the board and give it a try.
