Pound 1.8.2 beta status vs 1.8.0 release

Hi,

Are there any known issues in Pound 1.8.2 that warrant a 'beta' status
vs the 'release' status of 1.8.0?

Also, someone mentioned 1.8.1 was better than 1.8.0 because of bugfixes,
(despite beta status) but I didn't want to assume the same for 1.8.2.

Thanks.

1.8.2 is an interim release - think of it as 1.9rc2. As such, the changes from
1.8 underwent less testing than is normally done for "official" releases,
thus the beta status.

On the other hand we do try to make even these in-between releases as stable
as we can, and they do include some bug fixes - so you might be better off
with them. It's really your decision - if you have no problems with 1.8 and
are running a high-value site you may want to stay with it; if you can afford
a bit more risk and/or need the fixes and enhancements in 1.8.x you should
give it a try.

In any case we are grateful for the feedback.[...]
