Hi,

 

I have been running pound on RH 9 for a few weeks and it is working
perfectly.

Today I upgraded two of my Dell 1850's to RedHat Enterprise edition 4 and

pound is getting signal 11s and is EXTREMELY slow.  

I am currently on Pound 1.9.  

I also tried to run the debug version and getting an out of memory message
on RHEL-4 while RH9 is giving me a "Can not execute".

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What is the "debug" version?

If you just installed an RPM I suggest you try it from source - there
may be some issues of OpenSSL compatibility. Have a look also at the
threading library and/or libc.

Could someone running on RHES4 help here?[...]

Robert,

when building the package from a src rpm, it also creates a pound-debuginfo
which I tried to run, and got the memory error.

I did a build POUND from source and I got the same results.  I also changed
the user to root, just in case there was a problem with user resources,
though my ulimit was unlimited, and got the same behaviour.
  
I am rebuilding the server with RH9, but I will be able to get a RHEL-4 in
the next couple of days and get some more info on it.
