I try to compile Pound 1.9.4  with Solaris 8. Problem seams to be that
syslog.h is not defining 'facilitynames' as LINUX is douing. This seams to be
trough for Solaris 6/7/8. I tried to compile without log (--disable-log /
--without-log) but no luck so far. Is there a way to get around this problem
?

You get the facilitynames only with the GNU suite - the regular Sun cc
does not define them.

As a stop-gap measure you can comment out the offending lines in
config.c, which will just send the messages to LOG_DAEMON (the default).
