Hi list,

we are currently testing pound and stumbled over log:

pound: bad request "PURGE http://<ourwiki.de>/wiki/index.php/Hauptseite
HTTP/1.0" from <ourbackend-ip>

does pound support the PURGE-Method? - or do we just have a
misconfigured pound.cfg?

other tests (benchmarks ;-) ran fine, so we would be happy to stay with
pound.

thanks,
Sven Giersig

What is the PURGE method? What client generated it?

I must admit I never heard of it, or of an RFC that mentions it. There
is a PURGE option on the DELETE method, but it is part of the DAV
request. That should go through without any problems.[...]

murphys law hits again ;-)

it's mediawiki which wants "squid" to purge the content out of its
cache. since pound does no caching...
sorry for that!

greetings and thanks,
Sven

ps: so we stay with pound.
