Legal crap: GPL+OpenSSL

Hello,

I'm afraid there is an issue stemming from having Pound licensed
under the GPL, and yet linking to the OpenSSL. Some say it's a valid
concern, some say it's nitpicking on a technicality. Still, the
result that I care about is that several distributions will pull a
package away or at least castrate its SSL support whenever someone
notices such a license incompatibility.

Thus: could you please include a permission to link Pound with
OpenSSL? This is so-called "OpenSSL exception", several lines of
text added at the end of the GPL which allow such linking.

A sample text and more information can be found for example on
Wikipedia:

At least none of the files in Pound-2.0.9.tgz have the exception; every .c
and .h has a GPL header without it and GPL.html doesn't have the exception
either.

I guess it might have simply been accidentally dropped on the way.

I suppose you are right. In any case it is (back) on the Web page and
