Install - no /usr/local/etc/pound.cfg created

I am trying to install pound 2.1 from the root directory, as root. The
package installs the executable to /usr/local/sbin but when I run pound -v :

can't open configuration file "/usr/local/etc/pound.cfg" (No such file
or directory) - aborted

My /usr/local did not contain an etc , so I mkdir, one but with the bame
result.

Any ideas?

BTW , I tried to access the list archives but the Zope server is responding:

*Error Type: KeyError*
*Error Value: '1155022042000*
*

Hi,

You will need to create the pound.cfg file and add appropriate
configuration options in order for pound to load. Man pages
have all the information you need to create the file. The command "man
pound" will get you there.

Make sure that the user pound is running as has rights to the pound.cfg as
well

I'm sure you can specify where to find the configuration file while
compiling pound. You just have to create one with $EDITOR and type in
your prefered configuration..
