Round-robin vs. Random

Hello,

I'd like to use Pound to balance the load on a text-search application
that could potentially take long to resolve queries. In the (very
simple, sequential) tests that I've run until now I have observed that
sometimes the same backend server can be hit several times in a row.

In the way Pound distributes the load, is there a possibility that a
currently busy backend server is hit while others are available? Robert
has mentioned today "random distribution" and I'd like to understand if
the randomness is applied to currently unused servers or to all of them.

Thanks,

 Curro
