Hello:

Can pound be used to proxy RPC over HTTP? Does anyone have
documentation ?

Thanks

seen.

2.1.4 still shows the "SSL read failed - closing connection" errors
when using Apache ab for testing. Unfortunately, I'm not a SSL expert,
so it'll be tough for me to debug it myself, but I can definitely help
with testing. :)

Pound supports HTTP so... therefore by definition will support all higher
level protocols.

RPC is not a protocol it's a generic term - the above applies.

Pound is supplied with sufficient documentation and examples, but if you are
having a problem or errors in your configuration I'm sure people here will
be pleased to help.

Unfortunately I didn't succeed yet. But the problem is not pound. Windows
returns an RPC error. Maybe some authentication related problem (anyone an
idea?).

Cheers,
Frank

RPC is indeed a standard protocol. So is HTTP.

RPC over HTTP is NOT a standard protocol, but a Microsoft extension of
HTTP. The protocol details are rather vague, and there is some suspicion
that even the RPC part is not really RFC-conformant.

That said the newest Pound supports the required verbs. If that is
enough or not is another question...[...]
