Hi,
  I was wondering if anyone has a combined Pound with modsecurity setup
  to get the best of both worlds.  Or would it make more sense to just
  stick to Apache with mod_proxy?  The only post that I found regarding
  this issue is 2 years old:

If you are using apache as a backend, this might make sense to put on the
backend.

It doesn't make much sense to put apache in front of pound since the typical
use of pound is to load balance for lower performance software like apache.
