segmentation violation with versions 2.4x

I'm able to properly build versions 2.4b and 2.4c on my server, but I'm 
getting a segmentation violation on start (also when running with -c 
option).  I don't have this problem with version 2.3.2.  The pound is 
build on RedHat Linux 2.6.9-55.0.2.ELsmp x86_64

Has anybody else had this problem?
