This is to announce the release of Pound v2.4f. We consider this version
to be a release candidate for 2.4 stable, which means we are in feature
freeze. Fixes in this version:

  - when a back-end is disabled, the change takes effect immediately

The software is at version 2.4f (beta quality). Further testing
(especially under heavy loads), improvements and suggestions are
