Problems with Pound 2.4

Hi there,

i decided to try the new 2.4 release since it contains a few bugfixes etc.
:)
After a short time, i had to step back to 2.3.2 because of an unusable Pound
:/
Maybe someone knows whats going wrong:
With 2.3.2 i needed to export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19 to avoid getting the
following error after every request:
pound: libgcc_s.so.1 must be installed for pthread_cancel to work
pound: MONITOR: worker exited on signal 6, restarting...

When updating to 2.4 i tried without that first... leading to the same
error... ;)
so i put back the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL var and got this one:
pound: create thr_resurect: Success - aborted
pound: MONITOR: worker exited normally 1, restarting...
(around 350 times per sec... oh well ;)

So i'm now back on 2.3.2 which works so far.

Underlying OS is Debian 4.0 on x86 - no highmem or so, glibc 2.3.6.

Any tipps whats going wrong?

Thanksalot!

Well, its running etch and thus glibc-2.3.6.ds1-13etch4 at the moment.
Anything else i should check?
Pound uses most of the tls libs, like libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6
btw....

regds!
