Pound configuration

Hello,

First I would like to say this is an excellent product, but it is
hard to find out how to get specific recipes if you will to configure
it.

What I have basically is a pound server behind a firewall in a DMZ
with an address of lets say 192.168.10.10

It needs to proxy to a server on the inside nework say of 10.10.10.10

now the website on server 10.10.10.10 lets say is http://www.thissite.com:8000/somewhere/shomehow.htm

The URL is the only thing open on the server.

This is my current configuration

               # Main listening ports
               ListenHTTP
                   Address 192.168.10.10
                   Port 8000
                   Client 10
               End
               Service
                   BackEnd
                       Address 10.10.10.10
                       Port 8000
                       Priority 5
                   End
                   BackEnd
                       Address 10.10.10.11
                       Port 8000
                       Priority 4
                   End
               End

What am I doing wrong pls?

James,

What do the logs say? Is pound blocking the connection? Is pound not
starting due to a config error? Is the connection getting to your internal
web servers? Are your internal web servers running on port 8000?

Pound secure reverse proxy "how to"

Calomel,

Thank you for your quick response,

The logs dont show anything. I see two instances of pound running
when I do a ps aux | grep pound (which I understand is normal).
When I go to the internal servers they are running on port 8000. (this
is a test from my proxy server to the internal machines). Does my
configuration look valid? How should I connect to the proxy server in
the URL? exactly as my proxy would connect to the internal servers?

Thanks for your help

Jamie

Ok so what happens is I get to the login page. When I select it I get
the infamous page takes too long error. When I look in the logs I get
this: It seems it knows how to get to the first page just fine, it is
going beyond that now that seems to be the issue.
