A proper way of detecting this condition and adjusting CFLAGS accordingly would be an excellent addition to Pound 2.7.

This is a problem with gcc on RHEL not understanding "-Wno-unused-result" option.  Just open configure file, and remove this option.

This box was running Pound 2.5. I tried using --with-ssl=/usr/lib/openssl but no avail.
